Nothing! That's because Fantasia pays its consultants exclusively through sales commission, which means there is absolutely no charge to you for hosting the party. In fact, you will actually make money - as host, you are guaranteed that you will get 10% of the value of your guests' purchases as credit toward your own purchases as the party. As an added bonus, you will also earn free gifts from Fantasia as sales at the party reach certain levels. The more successful the party, the more you, the host, will receive!

How long is the average Fantasia party?

Well, like a lot things in life, the average length varies (hehe). Seriously, though, the amount of time the party will take generally depends on how many guests are at the party. I start our parties off with a presentation of our Fantasia products. Guests always have fun listening to how each product works and trying out some of the sample oils and lotions. After the presentation, we usually take a little break so that everyone can catch their breath for a second. Then I will meet individually with any guests interested in making purchases. I meet with each guest one at a time in private so that discretion is always assured. Most guests making a purchase will spend about ten minutes with me one-on-one, so the amount of time the party takes will depend on the number of guests you have. A party with 8 guests will generally last a full afternoon or a full evening (3-4 hours).

I want to make sure people I invite to my party will be able to make it. When is the best time for me to have my party?

The most important factor in planning your Fantasia party is ensuring that the guests you invite will actually attend. Therefore, it's a good idea to try to schedule your party for a time when people are most likely to be available. Weeknights work great because people seem to have fewer competing social commitments than on weekends. Of course, if you are confident people will come, we also have afternoon and evening parties on the weekends. Remember that the host is more likely to receive higher product credits and bonuses when more guests are at the party.

I would like to host a Fantasia party for my sister, who is getting married next summer. How far in advance should I book my party?

Friday and Saturday evenings are the times most in demand, so if you have a particular date in mind, you should book as soon as possible. Special occasions, such as Valentine's Day or wedding showers should be booked months in advance so that your date will be secured. In general, weekends are usually booked about two months in advance. Weeknights are generally still available one to two weeks in advance. However, feel free to contact me even on short notice because, even if I am booked on the date you have in mind, I will find another Fantasia consultant to try to accommodate you.

My friend Susan is hosting a Fantasia party and all my friends are invited. It sounds like fun but I want to be sure that it will be tasteful and not X-rated. Should I go?

As a Fantasia consultant, I have the utmost respect for my clients. Our Fantasia parties are first and foremost a sales presentation. I merely display and discuss some of our products. There are no physical demonstrations and, as with any other sales presentation, guests are expected to be fully clothed and acting appropriately throughout the presentation. While our products are of a distinctly adult nature, we try to ensure that any sexually-oriented conversation at the party relates to the products themselves. As a Fantasia consultant, I have been trained to ensure that no one's sensitivities are offended as a result of my presentation. While the presentation is fun and tastefully done, it is nevertheless for adults only, and we restrict attendance to those aged 18 and over.

I'm hosting a Fantasia party for a group of girls from work. I'm really excited and want everything to go smoothly - what preparations should I make for the party?

All you really need is a seating area (preferably in a circle or semi-circle so guests can pass around samples easily), and a separate room with some privacy where guests can make their purchases when I meet with them individually. Also, please reserve a parking space for me close to the door so that I can carry in my stock bins. During the presentation portion of the party, snacks and drinks should be kept to a minimum because they tend to interfere with sampling and tasting some of our products. Minimizing snacks and drinks during the presentation also cuts down on the time it takes to replenish snacks and freshen drinks, so the presentation will take less time. Remember - there will be plenty of time for everyone to have drinks and snacks while I am meeting with individual guests in the private sales room.
